Blogger Rechael Roe Experiences Ciccio Cali

California Inspired Food-Ciccio Cali by Rechael Roe
I was delighted to be asked to dinner at Ciccio Cali last week to taste some of what their menu has to offer- bowls, wraps, salads and even pizza! I have been to Ciccio Cali prior to this but I was in for a surprise when I was able to try items I’ve never had, and they were all absolutely amazing. The food was fresh and savory -the drinks were crisp and refreshing!
Ciccio Cali offers California inspired foods for lunch and dinner (on weekends they offer a brunch) with three locations around the Tampa Bay area-Riverview, Tampa, and St. Pete. During my visit at the Riverview location I tried 5 entrees, 2 drinks, and even dessert! The Hot and Crunchy Tuna bowl was not only a favorite of mine, but I was told it’s a common request. I was most surprised by the Vegan bowl-the mix of greens and veggies was light and pleasing to the palate-the agave vinaigrette complimented the savory with a sweet. It’s probably not the first thing I would have gone to on the menu, but the pizza is just way too good not to try and it was perfectly crispy! The food was presented so beautifully with just the right portions. Jacob and I visit Ciccio Cali a lot with our friends because we just love the food and atmosphere-the outside patio they offer at each location is a great casual spot to talk and have fun while enjoying great food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, the Maxmosa and the Slamgria were so good and definitely needed after a long week at work!
